This song was not written with a hateful heart but out of compassion for Souls. Everyone needs to make thier own choice this song was written to shine light on a truth that is clearly covered in Gods word.

Lewis and Lewis you know this will certainly cause the GLBT community to feel welcome to the Christian community...NOT...this sort of hatred will continue causing them to be pushed out...this is pure ignorance...i think your time would be better spent by singing about the salvation, love and forgiveness Jesus offers…

This is a nice report of the recent Gaither Concert in Kansas City. This is the rescheduled concert that had to be cancelled because of the snow storm that hit the area earlier this winter. The reporter had some great things to say about Lynda Randle and the Isaacs, but was less than impressed with Bill's singing abilities. "Gaither is so gracious and self-aggrandizing, however, that his come-ons never seemed overly intrusive. Even so, Gaither’s own singing became slightly tedious. The concert would not have suffered if he had performed a little less."

Sandy Patty Falls ForwardPosted on 04/04 at 03:41 PM
![]() "Among contemporary gospel singers, Sandi Patty has established herself as a mainstay of the genre. Part of the groundbreaking eighties when contemporary Christian music began to finally take hold, breaking out of the Southern Gospel mode that songs had to sound like in order for the rigidly faithful to accept as godly, Patty has stayed solidly in the mainstream of the movement. And, to be truthful, any attempts on behalf of the artist to venture into other avenues of Christian music just wouldn't be genuine; she's carved her own niche, and it fits her perfectly." I find the line, "breaking out of the Southern Gospel mode that songs had to sound like in order for the rigidly faithful to accept as godly" somewhat sanctimonious, but maybe truthful as southern gospel fand can be quite rigid in their belief that southern gospel is the only godly music. Don't believe me, read the comments on this article. Read more of the review.

Not much there right now, but certainly worth watching. Could this be a prelude to Jason's future plans? http://www.jasoncrabb.com
Janet Pascal - Sounds Like SundayPosted on 04/03 at 06:04 PM
Janet Pascal is in the studio working on a new project. I can't wait to hear it: "We’ve finally settled on a title, ‘Sounds Like Sunday’, and it is scheduled for release in June. As we’re continuing to work on it, it’s sounding even better than I had hoped for - and I was expecting a lot!! Yesterday we recorded some vocals as well as a pipe organ track. We went to a church in Nashville that boasts a huge, resonant pipe organ setup. Like my dad, I don’t know how to play a pipe organ, but I know when it sounds right. Yesterday it was right. Wayne (producer, arranger, all around nice person) decided to use the original arrangement and it was as though hearing it on the big pipe organ transported you to a different time. It made the words sink deeper, knowing the musical swells and chords and rests were just where the originator intended. That’s what we’re hoping for from this project. We’re hoping it will spur all of us to listen to the hymns again - to really listen - and to give the theology entry into our everyday thinking. If we can recapture the awe that inspired the writers to pen these ageless lyrics, then I’m certain that the songs will speak to us, and grant us a new perspective on why we’re here at all. Can you tell I’m expecting a lot???" Read more
Scott Fowler Speaks Out on Future of Legacy FivePosted on 04/02 at 03:30 PM
Scott Fowler spoke with Danny Jones about the future of Legacy Five after the recent death of Roger Bennett. "We will continue on. Roger's impact on the world didn't die on March 17 and neither did our calling. Think about the impact George and Glen have had on the world because of the platform they gave to Kirk, Danny, Mark, Gerald, Ernie, Roger, me and others. Their influence will go on as long as we live. Roger is gone, but his influence and contributions continue on through the lives of everyone he touched." stated Fowler. Read the entire conversation
ITunes to Offer DRM-free Premium MusicPosted on 04/02 at 03:25 PM
ITunes announced today that they will be offering DRM-free premium music. Read why MusicScribe thinks this is a good idea. Personally, I like it, but I can hear a few people in the background moaning and groaning that somewhere people are distributing illegal copies of SG music.
Booth Brothers Blizzaed Blight OverPosted on 04/01 at 08:44 PM
We received the following message from the BB Office: Well, we can finally close the story on the Booth Brothers exciting wintertime adventure. They will be home this afternoon. After we sent our last email, a gracious farmer came along with a tractor and assisted the guys in getting the bus to the nearest town which was Sheridan, Wyoming. The interstate was still closed so the guys spent some more hours waiting it out. It was sometime on Saturday when they were allowed to depart - and depart they did! It's been nice to be able to reach them via cell phone. Hey, did you know there used to be a day when NO ONE had a cell phone?? How did we do it?! Speaking of talking to the guys, they all wanted me to be sure to thank so many people. First, all the folks who surrounded them with help in the form of warmth, diesel fuel, snowmobile rides, etc., etc. The people of Wyoming and the many truckers on the road truly poured out their hearts of generosity. So many of you sent emails - more than we can respond to - expressing your thoughts and prayers. We really appreciate them. Once they're home a few days, we'll get a more thorough accounting and put something on our website. To those of you that we missed seeing at the cancelled concerts, we sincerely apologize. We are looking at dates to reschedule these. God Bless all of you! Bob Crichton - Business Manag
Booth Brothers Blizzard Blight ContinuesPosted on 03/29 at 10:23 PM
The following is the info the BB office sent out to their mailing list: 3/29/07 - Since our last email on the guys' plight in Wyoming, we have received many phone calls and emails asking about their welfare. Unfortunately, for most of today, none of us had heard anything (cell phone service was non-existant) - until early this evening when Jim finally called from a "senior center" somewhere in the mountains of Wyoming. Here's what we know. On their way back from doing their concert tour in Canada, they arrived in Montana for a concert and then were on their way to their next concert in Iowa when they were traveling just outside the town of Sheridan, WY when somehow they got stuck on the highway due to heavy snow and windy conditions. Somehow, a police officer came along, but got stranded as well. Somehow, a group of school kids also came along and got stranded, too! The police officer "took over" our bus as a shelter for everyone (something apparently they can do in an emergency like this). Others came along as well. Soon, all food and water were gone on the bus. But somehow, a seniors' group put together sandwiches and drinks for everyone. Anyway, they ran out of fuel for the bus generator. Somehow, a few of them walked down to an abandoned wrecked semi and siphoned 26 gallons of fuel out of the truck. As of right now, they only have a few hours of fuel left. To the rescue came Jim Brady of the Yukon! Somehow he was able to convince someone to drive him on a rescue snowmobile for an 18 mile ride that took them almost two hours to a convenience store. The rest of the group decided to remain on the bus. Somehow, the kids were able to leave the bus and return to safety (rumor has it that Michael refused to let them play the Xbox 360.) The good news is that they're safe. And the REALLY good news is that we serve a "somehow" God. He is with them - as you can tell. No doubt, many more "somehows" are yet to happen. We'll keep you posted. Right now, we do not know when they'll be able to leave. Pray for them since the fuel will be out shortly and they'll have to do something. The police are saying that the earliest window of opportunity to get out may be tomorrow, but they're not optimistic. We think Saturday is more likely.
