The fact that an opinion has been widely held is no evidence whatever that it is not utterly absurd; indeed in view of the silliness of the majority of mankind, a widespread belief is more likely to be foolish than sensible.

The following is the info the BB office sent out to their mailing list: 3/29/07 - Since our last email on the guys' plight in Wyoming, we have received many phone calls and emails asking about their welfare. Unfortunately, for most of today, none of us had heard anything (cell phone service was non-existant) - until early this evening when Jim finally called from a "senior center" somewhere in the mountains of Wyoming. Here's what we know. On their way back from doing their concert tour in Canada, they arrived in Montana for a concert and then were on their way to their next concert in Iowa when they were traveling just outside the town of Sheridan, WY when somehow they got stuck on the highway due to heavy snow and windy conditions. Somehow, a police officer came along, but got stranded as well. Somehow, a group of school kids also came along and got stranded, too! The police officer "took over" our bus as a shelter for everyone (something apparently they can do in an emergency like this). Others came along as well. Soon, all food and water were gone on the bus. But somehow, a seniors' group put together sandwiches and drinks for everyone. Anyway, they ran out of fuel for the bus generator. Somehow, a few of them walked down to an abandoned wrecked semi and siphoned 26 gallons of fuel out of the truck. As of right now, they only have a few hours of fuel left. To the rescue came Jim Brady of the Yukon! Somehow he was able to convince someone to drive him on a rescue snowmobile for an 18 mile ride that took them almost two hours to a convenience store. The rest of the group decided to remain on the bus. Somehow, the kids were able to leave the bus and return to safety (rumor has it that Michael refused to let them play the Xbox 360.) The good news is that they're safe. And the REALLY good news is that we serve a "somehow" God. He is with them - as you can tell. No doubt, many more "somehows" are yet to happen. We'll keep you posted. Right now, we do not know when they'll be able to leave. Pray for them since the fuel will be out shortly and they'll have to do something. The police are saying that the earliest window of opportunity to get out may be tomorrow, but they're not optimistic. We think Saturday is more likely. Page 1 of 1 pages Comments |
