This song was not written with a hateful heart but out of compassion for Souls. Everyone needs to make thier own choice this song was written to shine light on a truth that is clearly covered in Gods word.

Lewis and Lewis you know this will certainly cause the GLBT community to feel welcome to the Christian community...NOT...this sort of hatred will continue causing them to be pushed out...this is pure ignorance...i think your time would be better spent by singing about the salvation, love and forgiveness Jesus offers…

Kirk Talley Celebrates 50th Birthday With Surprise

Posted on Jun 10, 2008 - 02:03 PM

Dot Shultz and Tony Gore surprised Kirk Talley with a surprise 50th Birthday Party.

"Last night was wonderful. I was scheduled to help Tony at the Restaurant, but when I arrived, there were black balloons, and 50th Birthday decorations everywhere . I walked in and there were tables and chairs in places where they have never been before. Dot was smiling proudly so I just began to laugh. Friends started pouring into the restaurant and in a matter of minutes, it was filled to capacity. Over one hundred people filled the restaurant, so needless to say.....I went to work! We were carrying ribs and pork and banana pudding and sweet lemon pie to everyone. Friends from Texas, Oklahoma, Michigan, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Wisconsin, Georgia, Alabama, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, and of course Tennessee, sure made the night a lot of fun. The Galloways, Lulu Roman, Connie Hopper, Landon Beene of the Beenes, The Talley Trio, Tim Owen of the Testimony Qt, Randall Hunley, Jordan Amburn, and of course Tony Gore, completed the list of Artists who were there. Cards and gifts were stacked up by the door, and the party was ON. We laughed and ate and sang and laughed a lot more, turned some "non party" patrons away (Sorry Tony). Later in the night, I was blindfolded and slowly walked and sat down in the most amazing gift! Dot had organized ( she should run for public office) the Krew and you guys and gals went together and got me the best gift ever, a massage chair! They plugged it up and brought it in the door and when I sat down in it, still blindfolded, it began doing it's thing! Up and down my back, my feet, my neck, my arms......I didn't want to get up!!! I just sat there and enjoyed it for a while! I LOVE IT.

Of course, I got a lot of "old people products"......everything from Geritol to reading glasses, (which I already have).... a jug of syrup, and then some other great gifts too. Shirts, Ties, gift cards, cash, checks, picture frames, chocolates, all kinds of things......Man, oh man, I was like a kid at Christmas.

Let me say, THANK YOU, from the bottom of my heart. It was a great night that I will always remember. Thanks to all the Krew members who pitched in and made the massage chair possible! I will use it every night. As a matter of fact....Pastor Joe Copolo helped me unload it and set it up at my house, and I sat in it for about 30 minutes before I went to bed last night. Thank you to everyone who sent cards and gifts.....I am amazed...It took me 30 minutes to open all the cards......that's not a complaint!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH'

Happy Birthday Kirk. Have watched you over the years and especially the last few years. So keep on keeping on for the Lord and don't stop writing such beautiful songs. You are such an inspiration to more people than you really know. We were sitting at NQC two years ago and a friend of mine in her 60's said Do you ever hear of Kirk Talley any more. I said look behind you and you were in the food court area. She said you were one of her favorite singers in the world and she wanted to see you but she did not get to talk to you since so many people were trying to talk that day. Kirk we love you and pray for your ministry daily. We hope to see you at NQC in September if not before somewhere in NC. Love, Peggy

Congratulations Kirk, sounds like you had a great 50 year Birthday.
The Krew Members, Tony Gore and your sweet Ms.Dot, your Secretary of thirteen years or? Were you really surprised about your party? Well, however, may I say you can act surprised anytime, I do when my family plans something for Mother's Day each year, now come on, Kirk* God is good to everyone too. See you if you ever come up North near where I live.

Glad you had a happy 50th B-day! I was 50 yesterday, and today, I'm 68! Time really moves along, doesn't it? Enjoy everyday..and "don't sweat the small stuff".....or the small people.

Kirk's birthday was great. He is a great guy. I was overwhelmed by all of the people that came to celebrate with him. Maybe when I have my 50th (in a few years) he will come to my party. :o)
